Dear Folks:

Based on my experience in architecting and managing the complex computing environments of many organizations, and particularly with my expertise in eCommerce, I believe I may be an excellent candidate in your search for a CTO, CIO, or VP of Technology.

To give you a little background, in the last 20+ years I have assisted many organizations automate, grow, and prosper.  As an MCSE and a certified Unix professional my computer proficiency includes many platforms, networks, communication systems, document management systems, and multi-dimensional database environments, in both the public and private sectors.

My management experience ranges from: CTO/CIO, VP, and Director level positions with strategic corporate MIS direction and management (The CMI, MySpace.Com, A-OK.Net, Brook Hollow, 1MAGE Software, Voice Direct); to departmental level with complete MIS fiscal responsibility (Meridian Products, Aim Insurance); to pure Systems Architecture for Public and Private Sector (Unisys).  These various companies have given me in-depth industry experience in: eCommerce; Internet Security; Banking; Transaction Processing; ERP; Accounting; Document Management; Insurance; and others.

Some of my recent successes:

At Unisys, At Unisys, I am the Lead Systems Architect for the Microsoft Practice Group in Northern California. I’ve worked with both public and private sector companies, including CalPERS, CalWIN, Cal Secretary of State and CalEDD. As an Architect, I specialized in consolidating complex, heterogeneous and homogenous environments onto large-scale, mission critical Windows platforms and well as complex security systems and migrated large SQL and application servers. In the private sector, I’ve worked with Bank of America, El Camino Hospital, Safeway, Cadence Design, and others to provide consultation on a number of topics, including Best Practices, Datacenter Optimization, Server and Application Consolidation, software and hardware implementation, and mission critical computing.

At MySpace.com, my staff of 28+ and I were responsible for over 6 million customers sharing over 24 Terabytes of online SAN disk space, at 440Mbs+ bandwidth - and growing at a rate of 20-30 thousand new customers each day.

At A-OK my team and I designed and have a patent pending on key eCommerce software and hardware entitled "Highly Secure Internet Transactions Designed to Reduce Repudiation" and also generated the world's first fully secure ATM transaction over the Internet.

I know how to manage projects--people--offices--regions--companies for a profit.  My management and technical skills have been instrumental in opening new markets, improving process flow, delivering world class software to market, and in gaining customer loyalty and satisfaction.  I know that it takes enthusiastic, innovative, hands-on, and committed leadership to provide direction and deliver results in today's marketplace.  I have--and can--provide that leadership.

Please review my background in light of your current opening and feel free to contact me at your earliest convenience.

With best wishes,

Bud James
